Children and Families Services Support Assistant

SOS Domestic Abuse Projects is the leading charity working with victims of domestic abuse in Southend, with over 40 years’ experience of service delivery.
The role is to support the children, young people and families team, screening and processing referrals ensuring the flow and accuracy of information meets the teams work needs. You will have experience of inputting information and working with a range of agencies, together with knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse issues and working with vulnerable children.

In addition, you will be expected to support the delivery of recovery programmes, outreach services and training events. You will require IT skills with excellent attention to detail and good written and verbal communication. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to begin a career in domestic abuse support or working with vulnerable children. In return we will provide training, experience and mentoring. This is a fixed-term post, subject to funding, until January 2020.

Salary: Further information upon request, but subject to qualifications and relevant experience- circa £17,250 – £18,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Annual Leave: 25 days per annum

Pension: Nest Stakeholder Pension
